grit.

Stifled immense build up of charismatic nothing, it overtakes me. Sad and sullen days approach me. The sprained tails of the arriving monstrosities that swell in and out of my inactive sleeping patterns. My lack of a rational mind rips the integrity right out of my very being. Industrial smog, clouds the broken customs based on glass morals and territorial pretentious man-eaters. But I can feel the ground beneath my feet, the dirt between my toes… sediment, though ever changing the ground is steadfast. Older than I and far wiser. The air is as clean as what the eye gives, but the eye gives false hopes as we sit breathing in our own suffocation… on the faith of our society, to revive itself, to humble itself, to advance.. What if we were all to die on a preordained cataclysmic event? Out of our five senses, our anticipation, and our preparation we did not feel a damn thing. So when we all go, what does man call that? Natural selection, The survival of the fittest. Not one of us is fit for the unknown and our naïve hearts and minds will equally initiate shock and awe as we are encouraged with overwhelming perplexity for us to say,... nothing, Annihilation, aught, cipher, extinction, fly speck, insignifigancy, naught, nihility, nobody, nonbeing, nonentity, not anything, nought, nullity, obliteration, oblivion, shutout, trifle, void, emptiness, non existence...

I’m ready… to open a mouth with no words. To fall short of my voice and just, confide in it.
All the stenographers. All along the streets. Broken fingers. Hollowed eyes. They couldn’t make out what you said.

We light our cigarettes. . We clean up.
